The Center for Innovation, Research and Technology Transfer (CTT) is the unit of the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia responsible for leading and managing the generation of knowledge, and scientific and technical collaboration between researchers at the UPV and business – as well as participation in R&D programs.

• R&D collaboration: One of the best mechanisms for transferring knowledge. The parties contribute to the research activities and share the risks and benefits.
• Commissioned R&D: Acquisition of knowledge by contracting an expert team of university researchers.
• Technological support: The UPV prepares an expert study based on existing knowledge to provide solutions to a problem raised by a client.
• Patents/software/know-how: involves the transfer of rights of use, or economic exploitation rights to the results of UPV research.
