Automatic Distributed Control System for scenographies and shows based on articulated characters.

The project developed by the CPOH-ai2 in collaboration with the company Big Toys Factory, has as its general objective the construction of a prototype control system for the automatic movement of the characters appearing on a stage, synchronised with light, video and sound events.
The automated system developed allows the movement of the mouths and joints of the puppets to be synchronised with the audio, video and lighting of the show in a very precise manner. This synchronisation has been achieved by designing a software gateway to communicate standards linked to the audiovisual world with other protocols widely used in the industrial world.
The low-cost distributed system is modular enough to be applied to any artistic show and allows the different elements involved in a stage design (movements, lights, video and audio) to be controlled from a single control centre.
