The company AMPERE ENERGY focuses its activities on the manufacturing of smart energy storage systems and is interested in the development of predictive control and optimisation algorithms for its energy storage systems. The project aims to develop an integrated Virtual Power Plant (VPP) system by aggregating distributed renewable generation systems with smart storage.
The overall objective consists of the design, simulation and validation of the control and optimisation algorithms operating on the platform. This main objective is composed of the following phases:
Phase 1: Development and implementation of the control and optimisation algorithms for the local control system including predictive control and multi-objective optimisation techniques.
Phase 2: Integration of the designed local control strategies into the current system.
Phase 3: Design, development, simulation and implementation of the control and optimisation algorithms for the global control system (Virtual Power Plant) including predictive control and multi-objective optimisation techniques.
