The R&D project developed by the CPOH-ai2 group in collaboration with Repsol, entitled “Design of optimisation algorithms complementary to linear programming (LP) algorithms for Dynamic Matrix Control (DMC)”, has as its general objective the development of new optimisation strategies that allow the incorporation of new objectives, other than economic ones, for the selection of plant operating points or the planning of setpoints for controlled variables. This strategy is intended to be developed for a Repsol HDS process.

This general objective can be broken down into different partial objectives that are intended to be achieved in the development of the project:
 
1. Design of complementary optimisation algorithms to the LP for DMC in a static HDS reactor model available at Repsol.
2.     Design of optimisation algorithms complementary to LP for DMC in a static model (based on the dynamic model) of the Puertollano HDS plant.
3.     Study and optimisation of some parameters of the DMCplus controller in addition to the classical ones and their effect on plant control.
